format
Syntax
format(X, format)
Arguments
X is a scalar/vector.
format is a string indicating the format to be applied to X.
Details
Apply a specified format to the given object. The result is a string scalar/vector.
Depending on the data type of input X, function format
calls either function decimalFormat or temporalFormat.
